What We Do

Our aim is to take music out into our whole community for everyone to enjoy.

COMMUNITY MUSIC

MUSIC THEORY

MUSIC PARTIES

Music and Me have been offering subsidised music and theory lessons, community support and fun music activities in Wargrave since 2010.

Our enthusiastic and highly talented music teachers visit many local venues meeting adults and children of all ages and abilities. We offer music sessions to hospitals, hospices, care homes, community centres, children services and local schools.

Our community work is entirely supported by local fund raising, we are hugely grateful for donations and the generosity of sponsors.

In care facilities, we can bring musical instruments to try / demonstrate to bring the joy of music into their life.

Please contact us to see how we may be able to help.

Private Lessons

Violin and Music Sheet

Music and Me  offer 1-2-1 piano lessons and music theory for adults and children. All levels of experience are welcome, including those returning to piano after many years.

For adults, we plan to teach pieces you wish to learn, or we can introduce new pieces including a wide range of genre. We can help you sight read (even if you struggled with it in the past) and regain musical skills you may think have been lost over the passing of time.

You may wish to learn a particular piece for a special event coming up or an anniversary.

For the young beginners, the lessons are fun, varied and educational. They include musical-themed quizzes, treasure hunts, bake offs, after-school workshops, flash-card games and even composing their own pieces. The lessons are carefully planned to be great fun but they are also tailored to their age and ability. The pupils enjoy trying their newly learnt pieces on other instruments like the Ukulele and Steel Pan Drums.

FEES - Because our aim is to offer affordable music tuition for anyone who wants to learn, we offer young musician bursaries (by application), subsidised fees, group lessons and private 1-2-1 tuition.

Lesson fees for regular, weekly 1-2-1 lessons are spread equally into 12 interest-free monthly payments which commence on 1st August to 1st July (inc).  A school term's notice is required to cancel except for exceptional circumstances.

Children's lessons (Grades 0-3) are 30 mins long (including time to handover progress and homework info to parent / carer) and are scheduled around state school terms. (i.e. no lessons are scheduled in the school holidays). All our teaching dates are published on our home page.
