What We Do
Our aim is to take music out into our whole community for everyone to enjoy.

MUSIC PARTIES
Music and Me has been enriching the Wargrave community since 2010 by offering subsidised music and theory lessons, community support, and fun music activities. Our enthusiastic and highly talented music teachers visit numerous local venues, engaging with adults and children of all ages and abilities, including hospitals, hospices, care homes, community centres, children services, and local schools. Entirely supported by local fundraising, we are immensely grateful for donations and the generosity of sponsors. In care facilities, we provide interactive sessions where participants can try various musical instruments, bringing the joy of music into their lives. Private Lessons
Music and Me offers 1-2-1 piano lessons and music theory for adults and children of all experience levels, including those returning to piano after many years.
For adults, we tailor lessons to teach pieces of your choice or introduce new genres, helping you improve sight-reading skills and regain musical abilities you may have thought lost. Whether learning a piece for a special event or an anniversary, we can help.
For young beginners, our lessons are fun, varied, and educational, featuring musical-themed quizzes, treasure hunts, bake-offs, after-school workshops, flash-card games, and composing their own pieces.
Lessons are designed to be enjoyable and age-appropriate, with opportunities to try new instruments like the Ukulele and Steel Pan Drums. We aim to offer affordable music tuition through young musician bursaries, subsidised fees, group lessons, and private 1-2-1 tuition.
Fees for regular, weekly 1-2-1 lessons are spread into 12 interest-free monthly payments from August 1st to July 1st, with a school term's notice required to cancel except in exceptional circumstances.
Children's lessons (Grades 0-3) are 30 minutes long, including progress updates for parents/carers, and follow the state school terms.
Adult lessons (or Grades 4+) are generally 40 minutes long and paid per session. For the latest prices, please contact us.
To secure a recently confirmed place, a £25.00 deposit is required within 7 days, which also covers music books and a starter pack. Visit our FAQ page for more payment information.
