  Our Teachers
Music and Me

All our teachers are DBS certified and have many years teaching experience, although we also support local young musicians to become tutors themselves and invite them to work with our more experienced teachers. All our teachers are members of the Musician's Union and we have many references from local parents and schools. The demand for lessons always outweighs our availability, so we are looking to expand our teaching capability.

Apprentice Tutors

We are delighted to support talented musicians from the local Wargrave area as music apprentices who are eager to learn how to teach piano and other instruments. Their coaching is closely supervised and planned by our experienced tutors. Their coaching is funded by the Young Musician's Bursary fund.

About Us:

Music and Me was founded by Kirsty Andrew in 2010 with the mission of offering the very best music tuition in Wargrave, ensuring that affordability does not become a barrier to developing and supporting musical talent. Over the years, Music and Me has proudly provided over 16,500 subsidised music lessons and has financially supported local musicians and bands with tuition, studio time, and rehearsal space. In 2016, Kirsty also founded Wargrave's local Community Choir and has ambitious plans to expand the reach of Music and Me by growing the Young Musician's Bursary fund through events like the 1000 Voices festival and other initiatives.

Tutors: Our team includes exceptional young musicians who are invited to gain valuable music teaching experience alongside our expert tutors. This experience helps them support applications for further study, music diplomas, and their chosen career paths.

Bursary:   We receive applications for our Young Musician's Bursary from a variety of sources, including Wokingham Social Care Services, local schools, music teachers, and directly from parents or carers. For more information about our services, please see our FAQs or Contact Us today.
