      Music and Me

Music and Me was founded by Kirsty Andrew

in 2010 to provide more young people with opportunities to try music for the first time, help them take music further and nurture young talent. Music and Me was about recognising that music development can be hindered by children experiencing social, emotional and financial barriers and finding ways to support where it's needed.

Young Musician's Bursary

We operate a bursary scheme for Wargrave residents aged 6 - 19. The scheme is means tested and is designed to support young musicians by funding music lessons, instrument provision / hire and ensemble practice. The bursary is supported by donations, fund raising and grants. We are delighted to have been able to support over 1000 young people since 2010.

           Donations

We are very grateful for sponsorship or donations towards our young musician's bursary scheme. If you'd like to donate a regular amount, or a one-off payment or a musical instrument for re-homing, we would love to hear from you. Thank you.

Kirsty Andrew - Founder of Music and Me

Kirsty established Music and Me to offer everyone in Wargrave the opportunity to learn music. Kirsty has been teaching music for many years, she runs the local Community Choir and she is a piano teacher. Kirsty is focussed and passionate about offering music tuition and instruments to children and adults who are keen to learn and enjoy playing, overcoming social, emotional or financial barriers that may otherwise hinder their music development.

'It's always so rewarding to hear how our musician's bursaries have brought happiness into someone's life. That makes all the hard work truly worthwhile'. Our success can be measured by the many pupils who new know have continued to progress they music development, long after their primary school years and are now accomplished musicians in their own right, enjoying music in their lives as much as I have in mine.

With local community support and funding, I hope this can continue for many years to come.'   Kirsty Andrew
